title: ‘the older that
you get, the more responsibilities you gain. it can be too much at times.’
The
Bell rings and children of grade 7 rush in…
P.S.H.E
(Physical, social, health, education) lesson Begins.
Charlie
and her friends are taking out their books and whispering.
Miss
Lexi makes children quiet and starts off her lecture:
“Turn
over to page number 165…” we’ll be starting a new chapter called
‘Responsibilities too much at times!’
‘Miss
Lexi, Ohh Miss Lexi’ Charlie called.
‘Yes my
Dear, Speak up and don’t hesitate.’
“When
was your first time you gained a lot of responsibilities and you felt
overwhelmed; how did you handle it?”
The
teacher replied ‘umm… It’s a pretty long story; let’s just continue with our
lesson Charlie and at the end, I’ll give you an answer.’
Charlie
and her friends started to study, but Charlie still had this question tingling
and dancing around her mind. As the teacher had promised Charlie to give her
the reply to her question; she immediately stopped and started to answer
Charlie’s Question. Charlie and her friends became more attentive because that
answer was very emotional and heart-touching.
The
teacher stated:
“There
was once a time when I had nothing… All my happiness flew away and I was
depressed (Teacher starts to weep). My Mother was a Cancer Patient and She had
not enough time to live in this beautiful world.
My
father died at the day I was born and I didn’t have any siblings. My mother was
a huge responsibility and at that time I was a normal 18-year-old girl working
at a convenience store. I really
had to earn money to keep living on.
One
dark night, between 1-2 am …. My mother had a heart attack and died.
A day after; Bright Morning appeared I got
dressed up, kissed my mother’s forehead, and left for my shift. I came back
after doing my shift and saw my mother sleeping; I gently went towards her…..
She wasn’t breathing! God called her name. (The the teacher starts to cry heavily)
I thought to myself for a second that she
wasn’t dead. I rushed toward the hospital in the emergency and got informed by
a Brilliant Doctor that she is no longer present in this world. My whole body
started to shake heavily and I started to cry heavily. My everything had been
taken away.
If at the time I would’ve checked on my mom
properly she could have another chance of living life.
So you see Parents are a huge blessing till the time they are alive. Please take good care of them and do not let them down.”
Charlie went up to Miss Lexi and hugged her and
replied:
‘Desperate Times Calls For Desperate Measures’
(This quote is stated in the book called
‘A TALE OF TWO CITIES’)
~Charles Dickens
After the teacher had done crying and stopped
herself from blaming,
She
said:
‘As Long As She Is In Paradise,
I’m Happy and Living Well’
The Teacher wipes her tears and says:
‘Okay My Sweet and Fabulous Chicks, enough of talking and crying; let’s
continue with our lesson’.
